Katie called me as she was organising her birthday party & she was looking for a little something that would create some WOW factor for her. She had set herself on getting a photo booth but the venue had already been chosen, it was a small but intimate space &, to make matters worse, it was also located down two flights of narrow stairs. This presented a major problem. Most photo booths available for hire are of the physical box variety. The problem this presents is that you require a really decent sized space & one that is easily accessible so all the parts of the box can be carried in & built on-site. Nobody could offer her a photo booth that was going to work in her chosen venue due to this size issue.
She was given my details by a mutual friend who was aware I had been experimenting with the idea of a modular photo booth. After a short discussion I was able to give Katie what she wanted, a fully operating photo booth in her chosen venue.
My photo booth design is based on keeping it as compact & modular as possible while retaining the high quality that clients of a professional photographer expect. I have a variety of backgrounds to choose from and all can be easily installed into tight spaces. I use a high quality DSLR camera contained in a specially designed & constructed (by me) housing to be as compact as possible. Finally, I use professional flash lighting to ensure that each & every photograph my photo booth outputs is of the highest quality achievable. All of this is able to be carried into anywhere I can walk & operate in spaces around two cubic metres… Obviously bigger is always preferred as it gives your guests a much larger area to pose within and gives them the opportunity to really have fun.
Here is a sampling of photographs from the photo booth I set up for Katie’s birthday party celebration. The theme was funny hats & wigs… as you can see.
See more of my work.
